The qualification is designed for the role of ‘Protective Security Adviser’ to safeguard an organisation’s assets: People, Information, Physical Property and Systems. It is does this by implementing integrated security measures across physical, personnel, technical and cyber domains. Found in both public and private sectors, Protective Security Advisers conduct risk assessments, develop and review mitigations, and promote a converged security approach to close gaps between security disciplines.
Completion of this qualification will provide an understanding of how the protective security disciplines dovetail to provide the foundations of ‘security convergence’.
How this course differs
Level 4 Certificate for Protective Security Advisers focuses on governance, supervision and organisational decision-making rather than training learners for a purely practitioner role.
