Course overview
For experienced practitioners, the advanced requirement is not simply to use AI but to engineer it into an investigative capability: combining technologies, validating outputs and maintaining operational security, evidential integrity and professional accountability.
This seven-day specialist programme combines two days of virtual preparatory learning with five days of intensive classroom-based practical training. It is intended for investigators, analysts and security professionals who already possess strong working knowledge of AI-assisted investigation.
The programme covers complex investigative scenarios, advanced AI workflows, automation, online identity operations, multimodal analysis and integrated investigation. It remains tool-independent so participants can adapt their methods as models, platforms and capabilities evolve.

- Current model capabilities, including multimodal, reasoning, vision and agentic approaches.
- Complex prompt engineering, prompt chaining, few-shot techniques and structured outputs.
- Advanced research planning, multilingual investigation, entity extraction and relationship discovery.
- Hallucination identification, source validation, contradiction detection and AI quality assurance.
- Structured intelligence analysis, competing hypotheses, cognitive bias, risk and gap analysis.
- AI workflows, conceptual agents, knowledge repositories, no-code automation and human approval points.
- Advanced OSINT, identity development, behavioural analysis and network development.
- Social-media narrative, influence, trend and coordinated-behaviour analysis.
- Application of AI to digital evidence, imagery, audio and video.
Learning outcomes
Participants will be able to design advanced AI-assisted workflows, integrate multiple AI capabilities, conduct complex AI-assisted research and analysis, develop reusable investigative processes, evaluate generated intelligence critically, maintain auditability and evidential integrity, and establish appropriate human oversight and approval mechanisms.
How this course differs
This is Level 3 of Sorinteq's investigative AI pathway. It answers, “How do I design and lead an AI-enabled investigative capability?” Learners move beyond workflow integration to capability architecture, multimodal analysis, automation, governance, assurance and leadership.
